Sorry for MIA for soooo looooonnnnnggg

So I know that I have been missing in action for soooooooo loooonnnnnggggg from my blog. I think it might be 4 or 5 months already. Of course a lot of things happened in my life within 5 months and and most of them are major keystones of my life. I'll try to run down each one of them clearly in this post, but sorry if it seems kinda rough. 5 months life in a post?? that is a very quick summary ^^

1. Graduation
So yeah finally I am graduated!!!!! With Cumma Cum Laude...Yeeaaayyyy!!! It was a lot of hard work. Tiredness, tears, sickness, boredom, everything I have been through (and of course everybody ever been through this kind of situation). But at least I got some pay off. But the most important thing that I accomplished was I made my dad really proud of me. He was crying during my commencement. When the announcer mentioned my name and I walked down my podium with my honor, I was crying but happy to have that moment. So here is a picture of my graduation!
So my dad came to me the night after the graduation to have some quality time with me. He is the best person that I ever had. He inspires me so much through all things that happens in my life. "People may have flaws in their life, but it is a matter how we handle every situation with wisdom and pray". I love you dad!! love you so much!! and also for you mom... You always there to listen to me.. Whenever I feel short of something, you always there to remind me that I have enough of everything to be shined. What can I say further about them, Thank you Lord for all the guidance in my family :)

Then 3 or 4 days after my graduation, we were off to New York for a week to have our famaly vacation :)

2. Working Life
Three weeks after my graduation, finally I got a job! After months of job searching, after tons of interview, finally I return back to my internship company. So grateful I am that I know I can hold on to God's promise that His children should not be worry of anything. The world can push you down, but with the glory of God, He will prove that we are blessed! So I am working in a small accounting company in Seattle area. I am trying to get the most out of it, so when the time for me to have my own business, I can take what I learn from this company and use it. We'll see more my working life prob in my next blogs :) not too much to say right now!

3. Youtube Channel :)
Check this out: www.youtube.com/limindah
This is my first debut in the cosmetics/beauty.make-up world. I am still learning and I will continue to learn. I am not an expert but hopefully what I did inspire another people :)
Please leave me feedback or comment so I can keep on improving my channel.

Well, I think that is all for now. It is literally 2am in the morning and I supposed already fallen asleep now.

See you guys soon!!!

Love ~ Indah :)

Las Vegas Trip

Last week, on the memorial day weekend, I got a chance to go to Las Vegas with my boyfriend and friends. I was so hot there and I was melting. We try as many buffet as we can and we end up ate one buffet restaurant each day. We were there for 4 days, from saturday to tuesday. the buffet that we went: Wynn, Paris, Treasure Island and Bellagio. They all were really nice, but I vote Wynn as the best buffet. well, if I want to compare it to other hotel, the food was totally amazing, however, the price is also twice of the other hotels.

We also tried to play casino. We collect our money for about $50. and we won $100! 200% return..hahaha..isn't that great. however, the second time we tried to play casino, we lose $50. so we only ended up won $50. However, it was still fun. A new experience of my life.

Vegas is always a place to have fun. 24 hour city that never sleep. It is a sin city. I am sure that I'll be back to Vegas next time.

Here are some pictures that we took during our trip:

Just quick update about myself, I am graduation in 2 weeks!! yeay!!!! and my parents are coming here exactly a week from now and they are going to stay here for a month!! Excited!

ODB: The Secret is...

1 Corinthians 2:6-16

================================================================

If you believe Rhonda Byrne, author of the bestselling book The Secret, “The shortcut to anything you want in your life is to be and feel happy now!” According to Byrne, this has to do with something called the law of attraction. If you think only about things that make you happy, she says, happy things will be attracted to you.

Sounds easy enough.

However, the Bible says that “the secret” to life is something very different. It has to do with “the law of the Spirit of life” that sets us free from “the law of sin and death” (Rom. 8:2), not with the “law of attraction.”

According to the apostle Paul, the most important thing to know is “Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Cor. 2:2). To those who are concerned with happiness now, this is indeed foolishness (v.14). They do not recognize the power of God in what appears to them as weakness.

The Lord created us with a desire to know what is secret. In His wisdom, He kept certain things hidden in mystery for a time (v.7). But now, through His Holy Spirit, He has made them known. And the secret He reveals has nothing to do with having happy thoughts in order to obtain happy things; it has to do with having the mind of Jesus Christ (v.16). — Julie Ackerman Link

There is a law that made us free—
In Romans 8 this truth is heard;
The secret is to walk with God
And daily lean upon His Word. —Hess

To know lasting happiness, we must get to know Jesus.

===============================================================

Again, I learn a lot from today's devotion. Hope it gives you more wisdom which comes from Father.

Making The Cut (from Our Daily Bread)

Matthew 4:18-22 (New International Version)

The Calling of the First Disciples
18As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20At once they left their nets and followed him.

21Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

=================================================================================

Every year, high-school seniors apply to their favorite universities and then watch the mailbox for the letter announcing their acceptance.

It was different for teens in New Testament times. Jewish boys would often attend rabbinical schools until age 13. Then only the best and brightest would be chosen to “follow” the local rabbi. This small, select group of disciples would go where he went and eat what he ate—modeling their lives after the rabbi. Those who didn’t make the cut would pick up a trade like carpentry, sheep-herding, or fishing.

Guys like Simon, Andrew, James, and John hadn’t made the cut. So instead of following the local rabbi, they were down by the docks, knee-deep in the family business. It’s interesting that Jesus sought out the men the local rabbi had rejected. Instead of targeting the best and brightest, Jesus offered His invitation, “Follow Me,” to ordinary run-of-the-mill fishermen. What an honor! They would become followers of the ultimate Rabbi.

Jesus extends the same honor to you and me—not because we are the best or brightest, but because He needs ordinary people like us to model His life and to lovingly rescue people on His behalf. So, follow Him and let Him make something of your life! — Joe Stowell

As followers of Jesus
Who love Him from the heart,
We may be ordinary,
But we’ve been set apart. —Sper

Even the ordinary and the outcast can make the cut to follow Jesus.

Hopefully this Daily Bread bless your life as it has blessed mine today!

3 years Anniversary....

Yes... it's been 3 years now my relationship with Deddy. We've been through the best and worst things ever so far, yet, we still can rely that this relationship is strong enough to face those things. I never imagined before that I will have this long relationship.

I thought that this relationship will be like my past relationships, temporary and having fun. However, now after I reflected everything that I have in this relation, I can say that it is love and God who guide us and strengthen us to do more things that we can only do when we are together. Life has been so magical since May 7, 2006 and I learned a lot. I know I will never stop learning and I am excited to see more things happen in this love story, happy or sad. Nobody knows what will happen in the future and where God will bring this relationship. But, one thing that I know, I will always be fine in God's hand.

Well, I had a magical 3 years Anniversary celebration too. I want back from work early on that day, and also Deddy. Then for lunch we went to Paseo again. Yes, we were so addicted to Paseo lately.

Then, we decided not to go ome so early and grabbed a scope of ice cream for each of us from the Seattle famous Molly Moon Ice Cream. I got the "Scount Mint" ( I am a big fans of mint ice cream ^^) and he got the "Vanilla Bean". Both taste so niceeeeeeeeeee.......

Then I had a meeting with my business plan group at 9:30 and we finished at 10:30. After That, to end the 3 years anniversary day celebration, we went to "Wasabi Bistro", our all the time favourite restaurant in Seattle. They had the best sushi in Seattle, plus the happy hour is the best!!!! so far, i can't find other resto that can beat Wasabi Bistro. Here is us with our anniversary cake...

I just want to share how happy I am to have this love story in my life and I am excited to see the continue in my life. Life is an extreme roller coaster... I will never know what I will end up with... but, I am glad with everyting that I have now...

Deddy, Thank you for a lot of things.. thank you for sharing the last of your 3 years with me. I know I am not perfect... but you make me perfect... I hope I can always be a good partner of yours and we can have more wonderful things in front of us...yippie....

love for you all tooooo <3

NARSaddict!!! NARS blushes review...

So yeah...you can call me a NARS addict. I have a little haul from NARS blushes and I want to share it with you guys. I actually got 4 NARS blushes: Desire, Gilda, Hungry Heart (duo blushes), and exhibit A. However, Seattle Downtown Nordstrom were out of the exhibit A so they have to ship it to me. Hopefully i'll get it within a week. So below are pictures of them:

Desire:

It is a cotton candy pink color, very lovely and fresh. It is suitable for summer look because it gives you a shinny pink color.

Gilda:

It is a peach color with a little bit of pink undertone blush, very beautiful. also kinda nice for summer look and it is more subtle look for a fresh peachy cheek.

Hungry Heart:
You might not use this duo blushes like your other usual blushes becuase the function of this duo is to give you sheer shimmer cheek that make it more glowing. you can use single color or you can mix both of it and put it on top of your regular blush and you will have georgous shimmery cheek.

I found Nars cosmetic colors are very unique that not a lot of other brands have these kind of colors. Especially the blushes and the eyeshadow are very beautifull. The quality and the pigmentation are also great and it really pays off the price. So yeah, definitely reccomended.

Thanks for reading!

I'll stand...

Kulihat kembali diriku ini..
Dalam segala pengharapan duniaku...
Tak satupun kutemukan kekekalan dalam kasih yg sempurna...
Hanya engkau Bapa yg menyempurnakanku...

Paseo

Paseo Caribbean Restaurant

4225 Fremont Ave N
Seattle, WA 98103

It might sounds like a beauty tissue brand for Indonesian. However, for Seattleites, it is a very delicious, mouth-watering sandwich!! Yes, it is a Caribbean Sandwich in Fremont area. I went to this place based on a friend recommendation. There was a long line but believe me, it is worthy.

The first two menus are very recommended. Both of it are pork sandwiches with different ways of cooking it. Me myself didn't order that, since I'm not in my mood eating pork. But, I taste it a bit because my boyfriend ordered menu #2. Then, I regretted I didn't order it. However, mine is also good for those who love chicken. I order menu #4 (sorry, can't remember the name).

Here is the menu ( I know it is hard to read):

Here is a picture of the counter:

Line in front of the counter:

Line outside the restaurant:

There is only like 6 tables inside the restaurant and I think it will only fit maximum of 10 people. most of the customers order the sandwich for to go. So yeah, definitely try it and I bet you'll be back again (like me :) I am already thinking to go back there soon).

Here is my boyfriend and my friends waiting in line to order (see how funny their face was... ^^)

Happy Eating...

Lord,
There are just so many things in front of me
That I can’t be assured of what the world will offer me in the future
And I can’t hold on anything firmly
But I know Lord that I can always trust You
That Your mighty hand always hold me firmly.

Lord,
Let everything that is in me is to glorify your name
Let my victory lift your name high as I praise you
And when I’m overthrown by the world, let Your holiness shines brightly as I worship you

I Offer My Life (Hillsong)

All that I am, all that I have
I lay them down before you O Lord
All my regrets, all my acclaim
The joy and the pain, I'm making them yours

Chorus:
Lord I offer my life to You
Everything I've been through
Use it for your glory
Lord I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer You my life

Things in the past, things yet unseen
Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
All of my hopes, all of my plans
My heart and my hands are lifted to You.

Updates~~ Tulip Town, UW Cherry Blosom

Well, a lot of stuff happened as I haven't updated this blog for a longgg time. I went to several beautiful places as the spring season is here!!! (even though the cold hasn't gone yet).

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival:
This festival is an annual festival, I skipped last year and thats why I was begging to go for this year one. I know that it is kinda early to go to the festival on April 18, 2009 since a lot of the tulips hasn't blooming yet, but Seattle weather is so not perffect for us to have a chance to go to this festival every weekend (as you know that Seattle is known as the rainy city). So, here are
some pictures of me and others:

UW Cherry Blossom:
SPring is alway the most beautiful season for me! with all the flowers... and especially this one, cherry blossom in Univesity of Washington. It was a pretty chillin day but it was nice enough for taking pictures:

My parents saw these pictures in my facebook profile and they were just totally jealous that they can't share these moment together. My mom told me that she will try to come here next year during early spring season. Well, at least they are coming here this year for my graduation on June 14 in Key Arena (ahead annoucement regarding my graduation).

Hopefully these pictures can share my happiness to all of you!!!

Keep strong and finish your start!

I found this very cool video in youtube. I found this video is very inspiring and it encourages me during my rough times in my life. Nobody has ever had a perfect life. Ups and downs always color our life and it always depend on us what colors are we gonna pick, bright or dark? This person in the video choose to color his life with bright colors and always fade the dark colors out with his right attitude and spirit. Hope this video will also inspire all of you.

To follow up this video, hope this verse from the bible bless ur life too!

Isaiah 40:31 (New International Version)

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;

Random Quiz wich I feel somehow truly reflect myself

I got this quiz from one of my friends in facebook, Yunny Yunita. I usually dont really pay attention to this kind of quiz thing but dunno why I have the urge to try this quiz.

here is the link:

http://www.quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx

Moreover, I felt that the question was very interesting and the result, suprisingly, it describes me pretty well. So just want to share my result from the quiz.

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:

You are afraid of failure and scared to have a go at the career you would like to have in case you don't succeed. Don't give up when you haven't yet even started! Be courageous.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:

You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Celebrating My Honey Bday at Monsoon, Seattle

Hallo!!!!

Yesterday, me and my boyfriends went out for dinner to celebrate my lovely boyfriend's bday. At the first time we were planning to go to Outback Steakhouse to have something different for his bday dinner. However, I felt that steak was kinda boring for bday dinner so I went to my laptop, opened it, and i typed "recommended seattle restaurant" on my google search. Of course there were thousands of links came up and I decided to open the first one. one restaurant's pict caught my eyes instantly and the name of the restaurant was "Monsoon". So I decided that we should check this restaurant out, since the restaurant has a lot of good feedback, and I made a reservation.

To shortcut the whole story, we went there and arrive around 7pm. The restaurant was not a big one, we kinda lost when we try to look for it along the road. However, when we got in, the restaurant was so lovely. They design te restaurant kinda simple, modern but still looked really nice. We end up getting the corner inside table, which was a very good spot. I read couple review about this restaurant form Yelp and I got several suggestion about what food I should order. then we order "Lamb Chop" and "Catfish" for our main course and we order "duck stuffed squid" for our apps.

here's couple pictures of Monsoon restaurant:

The food kind took sometime, but it was still tolerable. When our apps came, we ate it like we haven't eaten for a week. It was delicious!!!
so here is our last two pieces of the duck stuffed squid:

Then, our main course came. I had my catfish and my boyfriends had his lamb chop. Both of us thought that the food was totally unbelievable delicious!!!!!!! yes, it is!!!!!It tasted so good!!!! I forgot to take a pict of the lamb chop but this is the catfish:
After our dinner, I planned to prepare little surprise for my boyfriend (btw, his name is Deddy ^^) and I went to talk to the waitress and I told him to prepare a dessert with a candle on top. And here is our dessert came and He was a little shock but I am glad he enjoyed his night. We got a coconut caramel custard and it was also very nice!!! here is the picture of him blowing out the candle on top of the dessert:
I was totally having a nice experience with this restaurant. all the food was incredibly nice with reasonable price! I ended up spend $60 for everything include the tax and tips. My boyfriend was totally happy and I was happy too!!! here is our picture together:
We went home after that, watched a dvd and had another blast with friends to celebrate his day!!!

Welcome!!!!

Hi everybody!!!

Welcome to my Blog!! Finally I have another blog after 3 years I stopped writing on a blog.
I used to have a blog in a social website that is called "Friendster". However, that website is such a mess now, so I better use a very good blogging website. And that is how I opened this new blog as a lot of my friends recommend me to this site.

Well, let me introduce myself. My Name is Indah Lim. Currently I am a senior student at Seattle University. I have been living in Seattle for 4 years and hoping that I could stay in here or any other city in US for the next 3-5 years. I am taking Accounting and Finance as my majors. Hope by sacrifising my time taking double major could help me to find a job in this crazy financial crisis time!!

I just want to live my life and create tons of memory as many as possible. I just want to get as many experience as I could so when I end my life, people will always remember me that I gain as much as I can when I live. So yeah, hope I can share pieces of my life here, and hope it bless all of you.

Love,

Indah
